Accounting Associate to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. Responsible for processing and recording financial transactions, monitoring accounts, preparing accounting reports and schedules, and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of supporting documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and process daily accounting and financial transactions accurately and timely.
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain proper accounting records.
- Process and monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
- Prepare and review vouchers, invoices, billing documents, and payment requests.
- Prepare and monitor employee and project-related liquidations and cash advances.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, schedules, and other accounting requirements.
- Maintain and organize accounting documents and supporting records.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of BIR and other government-related reports and requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding accounting documents and transaction concerns.
- Assist during internal and external audits by providing required documents and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Perform other accounting-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferably with 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience;
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, liquidation, and reconciliations is an advantage.
- Familiarity with BIR requirements and Philippine taxation is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work onsite in Quezon City.
