Job summary

TESDA's JAZOCO Z. GONZALES Memorial School of Arts and Trades (JZGMSAT) in Region IV-A seeks a training specialist to organize and deliver competency-based training for TVET learners in the region.

The role requires preparing session plans, materials, assessments, and managing resources. The incumbent will conduct pre‑assessments, monitor learners’ progress, maintain facilities, ensure quality standards, and enhance instruction with ICT tools and LMS content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; NC II preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience in TVET training.
• Eligibility: Career Service Professional or equivalent.
• Training skills and knowledge of competency-based education.
• Good in oral and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Organizes training sessions by preparing session plan, instructional materials, training activity matrix, and resources.
• Delivers competency‑based training and conducts pre‑assessments, monitors progress, and records performance.
• Develops competency-based learning materials and LMS contents.
• Conducts competency assessments and analyzes results.
• Supervises maintenance of training facilities and checks equipment functionality.
• Practices quality management by complying with standards and procedures.
• Utilizes ICT to facilitate learning using multimedia tools and PCs.
• Undertakes research to gather TVET information and trends for updating materials.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

SALARY: SG-14 Php38,764.00 PERA: P2,000.00

THE HIREE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

• (20%) Organizes training sessions by preparing session plan, instructional materials, training activity matrix, institutional assessment tools and other competency based learning materials and organizing training resources such as workshops, supplies and materials, equipment, tools and facilities.
• (15%) Delivers competency‑based training by: conducting pre‑assessment of trainees; facilitating training session following the approved session plan and training activity matrix; monitoring trainee’s progress by checking work projects; administering institutional assessments and analyzing results; to monitor learners’ performance; recording trainees’ performance in Learners Record Book, Achievement Chart and Progress Chart; Evaluates training sessions; Observe safety precautions; Implements classroom and facilities management; 1. Conducts career counseling session. 2. Communicates with individuals and groups. 3. Plans and organize work. 4. Leads learning workplace communication. 5. Solves training related problems; 6. Solves training related problems.
• (15%) Develops competency‑based learning materials/devices by enhancing the CBLM, creating and updating LMS contents, preparing slides presentations to continuously improve the quality of instruction.
• (10%) Conducts competency assessment by administering tests, quizzes, institutional assessment to trainees.
• (10%) Supervises the maintenance of training facilities to check functionality of equipment, facilities and tools.
• (10%) Practices quality management by complying with established operating standards and policies and procedures at all times and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of quality standards within the institution.
• (5%) Utilizes ICT in facilitating learning by: utilizing specialized communication skills; using audio visual and multi‑media equipment; using personal computers in Educational Technology.
• (5%) Undertakes research by identifying research agenda and utilizing traditional and online approaches to gather and analyze updated TVET information and trends as inputs in the preparation and enhancement of TVET learning materials; and
• (5%) Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
