Job description

Modern Exchange is the leading Remittance and Money Exchange Co. in Oman. We were founded in 1993 and are regulated by the Central Bank of Oman. We are part of Al Mulla Group Kuwait and are guided by values of integrity, transparency, and trust. Our network has grown to 45 branches across Oman, serving over 200,000 active customers.

Objective

We seek a young, dynamic professional to support our Business Development activities. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry, with strong analytical skills and knowledge in evaluating product and service performance. Familiarity with data presentation, MIS management, and PowerPoint is preferred. The role reports to the Head of Sales and Marketing.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain relationships with individual and corporate clients, understanding their financial and remittance needs.
  2. Identify and prospect potential clients, conduct presentations, and communicate our value proposition effectively.
  3. Collaborate with clients to understand and address their remittance challenges with customized solutions.
  4. Coordinate with branch teams to develop business through the branch network.
  5. Stay updated on our products, industry trends, and competitors to articulate benefits effectively.
  6. Achieve market share, profit, revenue, and transaction targets for corporate sales.
  7. Identify cross-selling opportunities to enhance client relationships and revenue.
  8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all transactions.
  9. Monitor market conditions and industry developments to provide insights and recommendations.
  10. Maintain accurate sales records and prepare reports for management.
  11. Provide post-sale support, addressing client concerns promptly.
  12. Work with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
  13. Set objectives for customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation based on market analysis.
  14. Analyze growth opportunities in market segments to drive profitability.
  15. Develop and implement new initiatives to improve business performance.
  16. Support other business-related activities as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 3+ years of experience in banks, exchange houses, financial services, or insurance companies.
  2. Bachelor of Commerce and MBA in Marketing, Finance, or related fields.
  3. Existing network of relationships with senior industry executives.
  4. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.
  5. Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  6. Understanding of risk management and best practices.
  7. Proactive, practical, and solution-oriented attitude.
  8. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  9. Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
