Job summary

A leading heavy machinery company in Oman is seeking a technician responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. The ideal candidate will have a relevant college diploma, 1-3 years of experience in the industry, and proficiency in English, with Arabic as an advantage. An Oman driving license is required. This role includes ensuring safe working practices and managing spare parts inventory.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years experience in the heavy equipment industry.
  • Candidates with experience in Engineering Machinery preferred.
  • English proficiency required, Arabic is an advantage.
  • Oman Driving License is required.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust, repair or overhaul mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Carry out periodic maintenance of heavy machinery.
  • Test mechanical products after repair to ensure proper functioning.
  • Provide technical support and maintain client relations.
  • Ensure safe work practices in accordance with regulations.
  • Handle on-site fault and rapid client service.
  • Manage central warehouse orders and spare parts inventory.

Job description
Responsibilities
  1. Responsible to find out, adjust, repair or overhaul the mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  2. Carry out periodic maintenance of the heavy equipment machinery like Mining Dump Trucks, Mining Drills, Crushing / Screening Equipment’s, etc.
  3. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper functioning and compliance
  4. Provide technical support to customers and maintain amicable client relations
  5. Ensure that work is undertaken in a safe manner and that practices conform to safety regulations and procedures
  6. Prompt action on calling for service implementation - On-site fault handling, rapid response to client service, field service
  7. Central warehouse order processing management
  8. Spare parts inventory management and organization of overstock planning
  9. Follow on regular distribution order plan once issued
  10. Regional spare parts sales and payment management
  11. Training and guidance for the service system
  12. Collection and inspection of service data
  13. Inventory vehicle management with new machine receiving inspection
  14. Spare parts organization, shipping, quality assurance, used spare parts management
Other Requirements
  • Graduate or a relevant college diploma holder (preferably in Automotive)
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years in same industry
  • Candidates with experience in Engineering Machinery/Heavy Equipment Machinery (Mining Dump Trucks, Mining Drills, Crushing / Screening Equipment’s) industry will be preferred, familiarity with local region
  • Skills: Cold Calling, Lead Generation, Customer Relations, Marketing Strategies, Key Account Management.
  • English language (Required)
  • Arabic Language (Added Advantage)
