Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Explain product specifications, applications, availability, and suitable alternatives clearly.
• Prepare quotations with accurate product descriptions, quantities, pricing, and commercial details.
• Generate invoices and sales orders using the approved billing or ERP system.
• Handle cash and credit transactions while maintaining accurate payment and sales records.
• Check inventory availability and coordinate with warehouse personnel before confirming orders.
• Promote complementary products where they provide genuine value to the customer 's requirement.
• Follow up on quotations and pending enquiries to improve sales conversion.
• Negotiate within approved pricing and commercial guidelines when required.
• Process returns, exchanges, and warranty requests according to company procedures.
• Maintain professional relationships with regular customers and provide dependable after-sales support.
• Update customer, product, billing, and transaction records accurately.
• Communicate stock shortages, frequently requested products, and important customer feedback to management.
• Support achievement of individual and departmental sales targets through consistent customer engagement.

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor 's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Previous experience in electrical counter sales, electrical trading, or customer-facing product sales is preferred.
• Good working knowledge of electrical materials and components.
• Familiarity with switchgear, cables, lighting products, wiring accessories, and circuit breakers.
• Comfortable preparing quotations, invoices, and sales orders.
• Practical experience with inventory checking and warehouse coordination.
• Familiarity with ERPNext, Tally, billing software, or similar ERP platforms is an advantage.
