Job summary

This entry-level position offers hands-on development of essential pastry skills under supervision. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a similar role, GCC experience, and are able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry & Bakery Commis III or in a similar bakery/pastry role.
• GCC experience is mandatory; preferably available immediately and currently in Oman.
• Experience in preparing pastries, breads, cakes, desserts, and bakery products.
• Basic knowledge of pastry and bakery production techniques.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
• Be able to communicate in English; language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area preferred.
• Availability on nights, weekends and holidays as required by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of pastries, breads, cakes, and desserts.
• Support daily pastry and bakery operations under supervision of senior staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure recipes are followed precisely.
• Ensure products meet established quality, hygiene, and food safety standards.
