Job summary

gu-recruitment in Oman seeks a Pastry & Bakery Commis I to prepare, bake, finish and present a wide range of premium breads, pastries, cakes and desserts in line with established recipes and quality standards.

Reporting to the Chef de Partie, Pastry Chef or Sous Chef, you will maintain high food-safety standards while delivering consistent, excellent products and supporting timely production to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry & Bakery Commis I.
• GCC experience is mandatory.
• Preferably available immediately and currently in Oman.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert production.
• Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area, English is a must.
• Availability on nights, weekends and holidays is also usually required if necessary or according to the business needs.
