Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment is seeking a Pastry & Bakery Commis I in Muscat, Oman. The role involves preparing, baking, finishing and presenting premium breads, pastries, cakes and desserts according to established recipes and quality standards.

You will report to the Chef de Partie or Pastry Chef and must uphold strict food safety and hygiene practices. We require at least 2 years of experience as a Pastry & Bakery Commis I, GCC experience, and strong baking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry & Bakery Commis I.
• GCC experience is mandatory.
• Preferably available immediately and currently in Oman.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert production.
• Familiarity with HACCP standards.
• Ability to communicate in English; understand the restaurant's trading area.
• Availability on nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, finish and present a wide range of premium breads, pastries, cakes and desserts according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and sanitation.
• Support timely production to meet operational and customer demands.
• Collaborate with chefs to ensure quality and consistency in the pastry section.
