TheAirport Services Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of AirportServices agents and appointed Ground Handler to ensure consistent delivery ofhigh-quality service to Salamair passengers in respect of check-in, boarding,special services, ramp operations and baggage services. Ensuring the consistentapplication of the company’s commercial and safety standards and procedures,the ASVR provides support, leadership and coaching to the front-line staffengaged in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of all passengers.
Duties andResponsibilities:
- Organizeallocation of agents to check-in, Departures/Transfer, Ramp or Arrivals on arotating basis and provide briefings on a shift by shift basis;
- Setup check-in area and ensure correct allocation of desks, manpower and otherresources, monitoring activities of OV and Ground Handling Agents (GHA);
- Monitorpassenger flow and queue times providing assistance and adjusting deskallocation as required, including liaison with immigration, Security andauthority’s terminal management;
- Ensureproper enforcement of flight opening/closure times, baggage policies, CreditChecks and documentation requirements;
- Provideassistance and information to passengers and stakeholders as necessary;
- Liaisewith OCC and GHA and organize staff to ensure timely commencement and close outof boarding process;
- Assistpassenger progress through security, immigration and transfer areas and assistwith baggage and flight connections;
- Ensuresafe passenger embarkation and disembarkation processes and monitor turn-roundhandling and baggage handling activities within company/regulatory safety andsecurity guidelines;
- Assistpassenger arrivals and baggage reclaim process and offer any assistance asnecessary;
- Liaisewith all stakeholders and assist passengers in case of delays or disruption;
- Monitor,investigate and report any irregularities and identify & implementsolutions;
- Coachand mentor junior staff appropriately – leading by example.
- Responsiblefor identifying safety risks to support safety objectives and maintainingsecurity standards in accordance with the guidelines outlined in currentversion of AOSP Chapter 3.4 and 14.13.
- Anyother duties that may be assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
- The AirportServices Supervisor should have the good knowledge of aviation related ofGround Services functions and Operations.
- EducationalQualifications & Experience –A Diploma/Graduatein any discipline from any recognized University or minimum 03 years’experience in Ground Services related functions.
- Established team player andteam builder with proficiency in written, verbal communication skill with basiccomputer knowledge.
