Job summary

Norwood in Palmerston North is seeking a Workshop Service Technician to service and repair a range of machinery from leading brands, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and an on‑call roster. You will work with Kubota, Landini, Brevi, Pichon and Vredo equipment, in a team-based environment requiring high quality, safety and on-time delivery.

The role demands Level 4 Heavy Auto qualification or 3+ years in diesel servicing, strong diagnostic skills, and excellent customer service and

Qualifications

• Level 4 Heavy Auto qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience in repairs & servicing of diesel equipment.
• Experience with agricultural or construction machinery preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge and advanced skills in diagnosis, repairs and servicing.
• Computer skills including the use of OEM diagnostic software.
• Great customer service and communication skills.
• Strong hands-on work ethic with a focus on quality repairs, getting the job done right and on time, and accurately completing all job documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by keeping customers informed, setting realistic expectations, and respecting customer property.
• Work collaboratively with the wider dealership team (parts, sales, service) to deliver strong customer outcomes.
• Apply correct work procedures and technical standards, ensuring all jobs are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality.
