Job summary

Norwood is seeking a Workshop Service Technician in Whangārei to service and repair a wide range of agricultural and construction machinery from brands like Kubota, Landini, Brevi, Pichon and Vredo. You will work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, with on-call roster duties to support Norwood customers.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Heavy Auto qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience in repairs & servicing of diesel equipment.
• Experience with agricultural or construction machinery preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge in diagnosis, repairs and servicing.
• Computer skills including the use of OEM diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by keeping customers informed, setting realistic expectations, and respecting customer property.
• Work collaboratively with the wider dealership team to deliver strong customer outcomes.
• Apply correct work procedures and technical standards, ensuring all jobs are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality.

About the Role

You will work with world‑class machinery and equipment from leading brands including Kubota, Landini, Brevi, Pichon and Vredo. As a Workshop Service technician, you will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week within our core business days and hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and also participate in a roster to provide on-call support to Norwood customers.

What you will bring

• Level 4 Heavy Auto qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience in repairs & servicing of diesel equipment.

• Computer skills including the use of OEM diagnostic software
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Strong hands‑on work ethic with a focus on quality repairs, getting the job done right and on time, and accurately completing all job documentation.
