Job summary

6am Recruitment in Auckland is seeking a qualified diesel mechanic to service and diagnose heavy earthmoving, agricultural, and construction equipment. You will work in a busy workshop, using manuals and available tooling to find faults and perform preventative maintenance.

The role requires Cert level 3 in Automotive Trades, licenses 1-4 with ideally WTR endorsement, and experience with heavy machinery. You’ll share knowledge, learn from peers, and enjoy high remuneration, overtime, PPE, and

Qualifications

• Cert qualified to level 3 in Automotive Trades.
• Licenses 1-4 with ideally WTR endorsement.
• Experience with Heavy Earthmoving / Agricultural / Plant / Construction equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults through manuals (software knowledge a bonus).
• Willing to share knowledge and learn from others.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in heavy equipment using manuals and tooling.
• Perform preventative maintenance and servicing to prevent failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulics and related systems.
