Job summary

Automotive Employment NZ Ltd. is seeking a skilled technician in Hamilton to service, repair, and maintain a wide range of materials handling equipment, both in the workshop and in the field. The role offers a company vehicle for field service and strong earning potential within a nationally represented organisation.

You will perform diagnostics, attend breakdowns efficiently, and liaise with clients to uphold high service standards while enjoying ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a mechanic with post-apprenticeship experience on access equipment or forklifts.
• Experience with EWPs, LPG forklifts or materials handling equipment.
• Strong diagnostic capability.
• Ability to complete major repairs.
• Working largely unsupervised on a range of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair EWPs and forklifts in workshop and field.
• Diagnostics using the latest equipment.
• Field service repairs and call-outs.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Liaise with clients to ensure high service standards.
