Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking an IT Analyst to join our NZ team. This hands-on role supports colleagues across offices, ensuring workplace technology is reliable and ready to support high-quality work.

You will provide on-site support for laptops, peripherals and end-user devices, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate incidents with Group IT. The role involves onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and maintaining printers and meeting room tech.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer science or computer engineering.
Experience in IT support, desktop support or workplace technology environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with broader IT teams.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site support for workplace technology, laptops, peripherals and end-user devices.
Troubleshoot technology issues and coordinate with Group IT teams to resolve incidents and service requests.
Support meeting room technology, video conferencing systems and town hall events.
Prepare, configure and deploy laptops and associated equipment.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities for new and departing employees.
Maintain IT asset records and equipment inventories.
Monitor office technology, printers and workplace devices to ensure they remain operational.
Conduct routine technology and security checks across the workplace.
Build strong relationships with colleagues and provide responsive, customer-focused support.
