Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking an IT Analyst to join our NZ team. This hands-on role supports colleagues across offices, ensuring workplace technology is reliable and ready to support high-quality work.

You will provide on-site support for laptops, peripherals and end-user devices, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate incidents with Group IT. The role involves onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and maintaining printers and meeting room tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science or computer engineering.
• Experience in IT support, desktop support or workplace technology environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with broader IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, configure and deploy laptops and associated equipment.

• Monitor office technology, printers and workplace devices to ensure they remain operational.
• Conduct routine technology and security checks across the workplace.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and provide responsive, customer-focused support.

You’ll play a key role in creating a seamless technology experience for our people, working closely with office teams, end users and Group IT to keep devices, meeting rooms and workplace technology running smoothly.

The opportunity

As our IT Analyst, you will:

• Support meeting room technology, video conferencing systems and town hall events.

• Maintain IT asset records and equipment inventories.
• Monitor office technology, printers and workplace devices to ensure they remain operational.
• Support technology maintenance activities and authorised vendor visits.
• Conduct routine technology and security checks across the workplace.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and provide responsive, customer‑focused support.

About you

You will have a Bachelors degree in Computer science or computer engineering

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with broader IT teams.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting Windows devices, peripherals and printers.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and video conferencing technologies.
• A proactive approach and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
