PlaceMakers Kerikeri is seeking a Trade Support Team Member to join our busy branch. You’ll support trade operations, engage with customers and suppliers, and help Account Managers with quotes and orders.

A can-do, customer-focused mindset and knowledge of building products will help you deliver tailored solutions and timely deliveries. You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, collaborating across teams and contributing to a positive branch culture while maintaining high service

Formación

• Experience in trade support, sales coordination, or internal sales.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Highly organised with sharp attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of building products is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Engage with customers and suppliers face to face, over the phone, and via email.
• Recommend suitable products, process orders, and manage sales documentation.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to track orders and arrange timely deliveries.
• Take clear briefs from stakeholders and prepare accurate quote documentation.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Team Leaders to capture opportunities through daily and weekly planning.

Description

As a Trade Support Team Member, you’ll be the heartbeat of the branch providing essential support and clear communication across our trade operations. You’ll work closely with Account Managers, and suppliers to ensure a seamless experience and help to build a team culture that nails the basics. With a flexible, can-do attitude, you’ll manage customer inquiries, offer product advice, prepare quotes and pricing, and find solutions to meet customer needs.

Permanent full-time role based at PlaceMakers Kerikeri, offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be more than just a sales support person, you’ll be a natural communicator and relationship builder who understands the needs of our customers. Your experience in the building or construction industry, combined with strong knowledge of building materials and products, means you know how to connect with builders, can identify opportunities, and act as a trusted advisor to deliver tailored solutions and assistance that make a real impact

• Proven experience in trade support, sales coordination, customer service, or internal sales
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform under pressure
• Highly organised with sharp attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems
• Knowledge of building products & materials and/or a solid understanding of construction processes is advantageous
