Job summary

United Rentals New Zealand is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager with a Hunter mindset to grow our Technical Solutions business, identifying and converting new opportunities and managing complex solution-based sales from engagement to contract award.

You will collaborate with Estimating, Engineering and Production teams to position us as the partner of choice for innovative containerised solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in solution-based B2B business development or technical sales.
• Proven success generating new business and developing sustainable sales pipelines.
• Experience selling engineered or technical solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
• Build and manage a pipeline of strategic, high value sales opportunities.
• Develop customer-focused technical and commercial solutions aligned with project requirements.
• Lead solution-based sales presentations, proposals, negotiations and contract execution.
• Build trusted relationships with key decision makers across target industries.
• Collaborate with Estimating, Engineering and Operations to deliver outcomes.
