Job summary

Toyota Material Handling New Zealand is seeking a driven Sales Specialist to join our Auckland team, based in East Tamaki. You will develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships and provide equipment solutions to meet customer needs, from enquiry to delivery.

In this role you will build a robust pipeline, negotiate sales, and collaborate with service, parts, rental and administration teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in capital equipment, machinery or B2B sales.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• A practical or mechanical understanding of equipment applications.
• Strong organisation, administration and computer skills.
• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach.
• The flexibility to travel when required.
• Full New Zealand work eligibility and a current driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Identify sales opportunities and develop a healthy pipeline of business.
• Understand customer operations and recommend suitable equipment solutions.
• Prepare professional proposals, quotations and supporting documentation.
• Negotiate and close sales while maintaining a strong customer-first approach.
• Work collaboratively with service, parts, rental and administration teams.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records.
• Represent Toyota Material Handling New Zealand professionally in the market.
