Job summary

Pathways Health Ltd in New Plymouth is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team supporting people to live well in the community. You will work under the Team Coach - Clinical alongside Registered Health Professionals and Support Workers to empower clients with mental distress.

This permanent, full-time role runs 7am–3:30pm Friday–Monday in New Plymouth. Applicants must hold NZCHW (or equivalent), have a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one, and bring experience in

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting people in health or mental health settings.
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.
  • Knowledge of primary care and community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate and support people to be well and thrive.
  • Connect clients with resources to live well and build resilience.
  • Help clients engage with communities and relationships that matter.
  • Foster positive change for a better life.
  • Provide medication support for clients.
  • Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • NZCHW qualification or a recognised equivalent is required.
  • Experience as a Support Worker or similar role.

About the role | Mŋ ŭ tūŋngā maī
Come andjoin our friendly team in Sunny Taranaki! We are looking for people who arepassionate about supporting others to achieve their goals. You will be reporting to the TeamCoach and will work with a friendly and culturally diverse team of RegisteredHealth Professionals and Support Workers; all with acommon purpose of supporting people experiencing mental distress.

This is a permanent, full-time position. You will be working 7am – 3:30pm,Friday – Monday. Based in New Plymouth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Help people connect with their communities, building the relationships that matter most
  • Foster positive change for a more positive life
  • Provide medication support for our people
  • Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
  • Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
  • Support Worker experience or similar
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the primary care sector
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
