Pathways Health Ltd in Whanganui is seeking a dedicated Awake Night Support Worker for a permanent Sunday–Thursday night shift, 11pm–7:30am. Work as part of our 24/7 Housing and Recovery team to provide calm, practical support in a trauma-informed, person-centered way.
You will support tāngata whai ora to feel safe and connected as they progress toward independent living and recovery, with coaching and mentoring from a Team Coach.

This role is for a permanent awake night shift role: Sunday – Thursday from 11pm – 7.30am, based in Whanganui.
Join our 24/7 Housing and Recovery team in an awake night role where calm, care and practical support make a real difference.
You’ll be a steady, trusted presence overnight, supporting tāngata whai ora to feel safe, settled and connected as they work towards independent living, wellbeing and recovery in the community.
Working from a trauma-informed lens, you’ll bring optimism, flexibility and strong communication to build professional, friendly relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.
You’ll be part of a motivated team committed to wellbeing and sustainability, with coaching and mentoring from an experienced Team Coach who leads the service.
You’re a natural when it comes to caring and empathy and understand the power of working in a recovery-focused way, where individuals take charge of their own journey, making you an ideal fit for this role.
