Job summary

Pathways Health Ltd in Nelson is seeking a part-time Support Worker to assist residents in a recovery-focused residential service. You will work Sunday and Monday, 3pm–11:30pm, based in Brightwater.

Preferably you’ll hold NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 and have a current first aid certificate. You’ll support meals, cleaning, medication assistance, notes, handovers, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver person-centred care.

Qualifications

• NZ health and wellbeing level 4 qualification (or recognised equivalent).
• Current comprehensive first aid certificate covering units 6400, 6401 and 6402 or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Cultural awareness and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with recovery and wellbeing.
• Assist with meals and light cleaning.
• Provide medications support when required.

We are apredominantly an aged care mental health site, nestled in the vineyards on theoutskirts of Brightwater with picturesque countryside views and the RichmondRanges.

Our six-bedfacility is committed to helping our residents lead fulfilling and joyfullives. As a mental health provider, we specialize in supporting older clientswith mental health needs.

This is a permanent,part-time position. You’ll work Sunday and Monday, 3pm – 11.30pm, in our Brightwater,Nelson residential service. Preferably you’ll hold the Level 4 Health andWellbeing qualification, or equivalent.

You’llwork alongside individuals to support their recovery, enhance their wellbeing,and help them live a meaningful life. This could involve tasks like assistingwith meal preparation and cleaning up. It's all about making a positivedifference in their lives.

• Focuson the individuals needs and provide culturally safe practice
• Completerelevant administrative tasks, take comprehensive notes, provide effectivehandovers to the next shift, and support and collaborate with yourcolleagues
• Medicationsupport when required

About You | Mōu

You’ll work in a recovery focused way and have impeccable attention to detail. You’ll also

• Preferably you’ll holdtheNew Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing level 4 (or arecognised equivalent)
• Preferably you’ll have experience in aged care (but not essential)
• You’ll also hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate covering units 6400, 6401 and 6402 or be willing to obtain one within 3 months of employment
• You’ll have acultural awareness, knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to,the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
