Job summary

Terra Cat is New Zealand’s Caterpillar dealer, and Terra Industrial New Zealand Limited is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Hamilton Service team and deliver a service experience customers can rely on.

Based at our Hamilton branch in Pukete, this hands‑on leadership role brings together Technicians, Sales, Support Services and Managers to drive performance, build capability and ensure customer satisfaction.

We’re looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our Hamilton Service team and play an important role in the continued success of Terra Cat in the Waikato.

Based at our Hamilton branch in Pukete, this is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll bring together people, customers and performance. You’ll lead from the front, build a strong and engaged team, and ensure our customers receive the responsive, high-quality service they expect from Terra Cat.

Our Hamilton site brings together Technicians, Sales, Support Services and Managers, making this an opportunity to work closely across the wider branch rather than operating in isolation.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the Service operation, with a strong focus on:

• Proven leadership experience within the service and/or heavy equipment industry, or a similar operational environment
• The ability to lead, coach and develop a diverse team
• A genuine customer-first mindset and confidence building long-term relationships
• The ability to balance competing priorities and make good decisions in a busy operational environment
• Clear, confident communication and a collaborative leadership style
• A practical approach, plenty of initiative and the drive to keep improving how we do things
