Avani Queenstown Hotel is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis. You will oversee the Food & Beverage team, ensuring seamless operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and coaching staff to maintain service standards.

We require a minimum of 1 year in a restaurant supervision role, with a strong hospitality background and the ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in a food and beverage or restaurant supervision environment.
• Solid understanding of alcohol (preferred but not essential).
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a food and beverage environment.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and high-quality service delivery.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional presentation and the ability to lead by example.
• Reliability and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests within the hotel and restaurant with professional, attentive service.
• Lead, motivate, and coach the Food & Beverage team to maintain service standards.
• Monitor service quality and ensure consistency across shifts and service periods.
• Manage guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Support inventory management, stock control, and day-to-day F&B operations.
• Collaborate with management to maintain high-quality service and efficient daily operations.
