Minor Hotels is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Food & Beverage Supervisor for Avani Queenstown Hotel in Queenstown, NZ. This full-time role requires morning and weekend shifts and involves leading the café team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, collaborate with the kitchen, and mentor staff to maintain our high standards. A Diploma in Hospitality Management is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 12+ months in a supervisory role within hospitality.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a restaurant, cafe or hotel environment.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive, positive, and professional attitude.
• Strong self-motivation and the confidence to lead a team.
• Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar (advantageous but not essential).
• Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily floor operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service.
• Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to achieve operational and service goals.
• Build a strong knowledge of our food and beverage offerings to confidently promote them to guests.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver consistent quality and presentation.
• Supervise, train, and support Food & Beverage Attendants to perform at their best.
