Job summary

Minor Hotels in Queenstown is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to lead the F&B team and deliver outstanding guest experiences in a full-time role.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you’ll supervise service, coach staff, manage guest inquiries, and assist with stock control and daily operations, across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts on a rotating roster. Experience in hospitality and a friendly, professional presence are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of directly relevant hands‑on experience in a food and beverage or restaurant supervision environment
• Solid understanding of alcohol (preferred but not essential)
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a food and beverage environment
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and high-quality service delivery
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Professional presentation and the ability to lead by example
• Reliability and the ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in a within the hotel and restaurant, ensuring professional and attentive service.
• Leads, motivates, and coaches the Food & Beverage team to deliver consistent service standards.
• Monitors service quality and ensuring consistency across all shifts and service periods.
• Manages guest enquiries and resolves service issues promptly and professionally.
• Supports inventory management, stock control, and day-to-day Food & Beverage operations.
• Works closely with management to maintain high-quality service and efficient daily operations.
