Job summary

Frontline Recruitment Group in Auckland is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join a supportive multidisciplinary team. Ideally suited to a nurse with 5+ years of clinical experience, this role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse patient population while continuing to develop your primary care skills within a well-supported environment.

You will work closely with GPs and the wider primary healthcare team, providing comprehensive nursing care across acute and long-term health

Qualifications

• Current Annual Practising Certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
• Ideally 5+ years of nursing experience, with primary care experience preferred.
• Current vaccinator certification
• Current smear taker certification
• Current CPR certification
• Confident undertaking clinical triage and assessment
• Strong wound management experience
• Competent in venepuncture, blood collection, and IV line insertion
• Experience managing long-term conditions
• Familiarity with Medtech Evolution, Indici, My Practice or other PMS systems

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality primary healthcare nursing services to a diverse patient population
• Support patient assessment, interventions, treatment planning, and follow-up care
• Undertake clinical triage and appropriately escape presentations when required
• Support the management of long-term conditions and preventative healthcare
• Provide wound assessment and management
• Perform venepuncture, blood collection, and IV line insertion where required
• Contribute to health promotion, screening, and patient education
• Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team
