Job summary

Grey Lynn Family Medical – Auckland, North Island, is seeking a Practice Nurse to join the team. The role involves delivering cervical screening, immunisations and wound care within a friendly, diverse clinic.

You will work with GPs and other clinical staff in a collaborative environment, with opportunities for ongoing training and leadership as you grow. Flexible start/finish times support work–life balance.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with experience in general practice or primary care.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join the Grey Lynn Family Medical Centre whānau.

We are a friendly, diverse and collaborative general practice with a supportive team of nurses, doctors and other clinical staff. Many of our team have worked with us for several years, creating a welcoming and stable environment where people genuinely enjoy working together.

Our nursing team works closely alongside our approachable GPs and wider clinical team. We encourage questions, shared learning and supporting one another throughout the day.

The role

Our nursing team works collaboratively across shared appointment templates. Day-to-day work includes:

• Cervical screening and sexual health consultations

• Childhood, COVID-19 and travel immunisations

• Wound care

• Mental health support

• Telephone and in-person clinical triage

• Other general practice nursing duties

• Supporting GP with minor surgery and procedures.

We are looking for someone who is team-minded, self-motivated and approachable, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Our practice serves a wonderfully diverse patient population, including patients with complex medical and social needs. This role would suit a nurse who is open-minded, enjoys working collaboratively, isn't afraid to ask questions and takes pride in providing excellent patient care.
