Job summary

HealthForce NZ is seeking a Practice Nurse to deliver high-quality primary healthcare within a busy general practice. You will work with a nursing team and GPs to assess patients, educate on health, manage chronic conditions and support immunisations and wound care.

The role offers opportunities for ongoing learning and development, with training available to progress nursing skills and capability within a professional team.

Qualifications

• Current Annual Practising Certificate from NZ Nursing Council.
• Minimum of one year experience in General Practice.
• Current Authorised Vaccinators Certificate (preferred).
• Cervical Smear Certification (preferred).
• Strong clinical skills and time management.
• Experience working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments and health education.
• Manage chronic diseases within the practice setting.
• Administer immunisations and perform wound care.
• Contribute to preventative health initiatives.
• Collaborate with General Practitioners and the broader clinical team.
