Job summary

Stryker Corporation seeks a Regional Manager to lead the Joint Replacement business nationwide in New Zealand. Based anywhere in NZ with access to a major airport, you will drive commercial growth, develop surgeon partnerships, and oversee a high-performing sales team.

You will coach 10 sales professionals (3 Associate Territory Managers and 7 Territory Managers), implement regional strategies, forecast accurately, and ensure regulatory compliance while traveling about 20% of the time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in implantable medical device sales.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a people leadership or sales management role.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, science, healthcare, or a related discipline.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regional revenue growth, profit, and market share targets across the Joint Replacement portfolio.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 sales professionals (3 Associate Territory Managers and 7 Territory Managers).
• Execute regional sales strategies aligned to surgeon demand, hospital priorities, and portfolio objectives.
• Build long-term partnerships with orthopaedic surgeons, operating theatre teams, and hospital decision-makers.
• Drive accurate forecasting, territory planning, inventory control, and service coverage across the country.
• Lead professional execution of product launches, portfolio conversions, and recalls.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and procedural trends to inform regional strategy.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems, regulatory standards, and company policies.
