Job summary

Stryker seeks a Regional Manager to lead its Joint Replacement business across New Zealand, accountable for growth and team performance. The role drives regional revenue, partnerships with surgeons and hospitals, and executes strategy across NZ with a 10-person sales team.

The position requires strong business acumen, travel flexibility, and the ability to forecast and adapt to market needs, regulatory standards, and product recalls while maintaining high ethical and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in implantable medical device sales.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a people leadership or sales management role.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, science, healthcare, or a related discipline.
• Valid New Zealand driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regional revenue growth, profit, and market share targets across the Joint Replacement portfolio.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 sales professionals (3 Associate Territory Managers and 7 Territory Managers), driving performance against defined sales and capability metrics across New Zealand.
• Execute regional sales strategies aligned to surgeon demand, hospital priorities, and portfolio objectives.
• Build long-term partnerships with orthopaedic surgeons, operating theatre teams, and hospital decision-makers.
• Drive accurate forecasting, territory planning, inventory control, and service coverage across the country.
• Lead professional execution of product launches, portfolio conversions, and recalls.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and procedural trends to inform regional strategy.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems, regulatory standards, and company policies.
