Due to consistent and steady growth we are looking for Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team, you will be working closely with the Managing Director and Operations team by providing an excellent QS experience.

Hold a minimum Quantity Surveying qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 7.
Minimum 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within residential or high-end residential construction.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
Experience with CostX and Buildertrend is an advantage.
A good understanding of New Zealand building and health & safety regulations.
Strong knowledge of residential construction estimating, methodology, materials, construction management and programming.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
Complete preliminary project estimations through to detailed and final cost plans.
Prepare competitive tenders and quotations.
Carry out material and quantity take-offs for projects.
Source suppliers and subcontractors, obtain pricing and prepare price comparisons.
Analyse project costs and monitor cost performance throughout each job.
Maintain a strong understanding of different construction contracts and their applications.
Prepare contract documents and undertake relevant project administration.
Prepare progress payment claims and variation orders.
Conduct site visits and assess project progress where required.
Develop, monitor and maintain project schedules.
Work closely with the project and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme.
Manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively.
