Job summary

Franklin Smith Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing NZ team and manage all QS duties on projects up to NZ$60 million. The role requires a qualification and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a commercial main contractor setting.

You will be expected to hit the ground running, deliver accurate cost control, foster client and subcontractor relationships, and contribute to ongoing project delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Commercial main contractor environment in New Zealand.
• High level of commercial acumen with a relationship-focused approach.
• Track record delivering projects of similar scale (up to NZ$60 million).
• Ability to hit the ground running and manage all QS duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of Quantity Surveying on projects up to NZ$60 million.
• Provide cost planning, estimating, and commercial control from start to finish.
• Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships.
• Support leadership pathway into commercial management.

About the role

This highly regarded main contractor are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who can hit the ground running and take-charge on projects up to $60million (or a couple of smaller projects). You’ll need to hit the ground running and be being comfortable carrying out all aspects of Quantity Surveying.

About you

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience in a similar role for a Commercial main contractor in the New Zealand market. A qualification and minimum of 8 years experience is required.A high level of Commercal acumen, a relationship focussed approach and a proven track record of delivering projects of a similar nature and scale is essential.
