Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora seeks a Patient Administrator to support the patient journey from referral to discharge at Wellington Hospital on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. You will provide patient-focused reception, coordinate bookings, and liaise with clinical teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

The role emphasises privacy, effective communication, and independence in a diverse, fast-paced environment, contributing to a high-quality patient experience within CCDHB services.

Formación

• Able to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Good Microsoft Office Suite computer skills.
• Effective time management with the ability to meet delivery targets.
• Able to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Exposure to cultures other than one’s own.
• Excellent communication skills with teams and the public, including distressed individuals.
• Knowledge of the Privacy Act and confidentiality requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Provide quality, customer-focused reception services to patients at clinics or via phone.
• Liaise with clinical teams and strengthen clinical and non-clinical relationships.
• Ensure booking protocols are followed to minimise waiting times.
• Review patient information in the Patient Management System and follow up missed appointments.
