Job summary

Summerset is seeking an Onsite Technician to deliver hands-on technology support across our Wellington Head Office and regional sites. You will work in the Digital Service Experience team, providing frontline IT services, including device provisioning, meeting room tech, and incident resolution, ensuring staff remain productive and connected.

Ideal candidates have Service Desk experience, strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, AD/Azure AD, and the ability to work with AV and

Qualifications

• Experience in a Service Desk, onsite IT support or similar customer-facing technology role.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS and Android) and MDM solutions.
• Exposure to AV, meeting room technology and collaboration tools.
• Good understanding of IT security best practices.
• Strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• A positive attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
• Competency with hand and power tools.
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Providing walk-up and onsite support across Head Office and regional sites.
• Logging, managing and resolving incidents and service requests through the IT Service Desk platform, including triage and escalation where required.
• Supporting workplace technology including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, AV and meeting room technology.
• Monitoring and proactively maintaining meeting room and collaboration technology, including Microsoft Teams Rooms.
• Preparing, provisioning and deploying devices for new starters and managing technology offboarding.
• Maintaining accurate asset registers, inventories and device records.
• Supporting technology readiness for new villages, care centres and offices, including on-site support during go-lives.
• Working with project teams to ensure technology solutions are implemented smoothly and reliably.
• Creating and contributing to knowledge articles, self-service resources and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Providing friendly, professional and solutions-focused customer service at all times.
