Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages seeks an Onsite Technician to deliver high-quality, people‑first technology support across our Wellington Head Office and wider region. You’ll be the frontline in the Tech Bar, handling day‑to‑day IT requests and ensuring staff stay connected and productive.

You’ll work closely with Service Desk, Digital teams and external partners, configuring devices for new starters, supporting meeting rooms, AV systems, and end‑to‑end technology readiness for village go‑lives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Service Desk, onsite IT support or similar customer-facing role.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting mobile devices and AV/meeting room technology.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide walk-up and onsite support across Head Office and regional sites.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests via the IT Service Desk.
• Support workplace technology including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and AV.
• Monitor and maintain meeting room and collaboration tech (Microsoft Teams Rooms).
• Provision devices for new starters and manage offboarding.
• Ensure accurate asset registers and device records are kept.
• Assist with technology readiness for new villages and go-lives.
• Collaborate with project teams for smooth technology implementation.
• Create knowledge articles and contribute to self-service resources.
• Deliver friendly, professional, solutions-focused customer service.
