Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Southern is seeking a National Travel Assistance (NTA) Coordinator on a permanent full-time basis in Dunedin. You will assist eligible patients with travel and accommodation bookings, coordinate arrangements, and ensure awareness of entitlements, working with HealthPac to manage local travel and accommodation services.

The role emphasizes strong administration, communication, and organisational skills in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven administration skills and experience.
• Knowledge of computer systems including the Microsoft Office suite.
• Mature outlook and ability to deal with people under stress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with colleagues, patients and whanau.

Responsibilities

• Assist eligible patients with their Travel and Accommodation bookings.
• Coordinate travel and/or accommodation to access treatment.
• Register patients and support those eligible to claim for travel assistance.
• Work with HealthPac and manage local travel/accommodation arrangements.
