Job summary

The Hotel Britomart is seeking a polished Reservations Agent on a 10-month fixed-term contract in Auckland CBD. You will manage individual and group bookings, respond to guest inquiries, and help maximise revenue through upselling and thoughtful add-ons.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in reservations or Front Office within a hotel, travel agency or similar environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and follow-through.
• Calm, professional approach; ability to manage competing priorities.
• Commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Experience with reservation systems; Protel/Opera is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual and group reservations accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to guest enquiries across phone, email and online channels with warmth and professionalism.
• Maximise revenue opportunities through room and package recommendations, upgrades and add-ons.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles, preferences, booking details and payment information.
• Work closely with Front Office, Revenue, Sales, Events and other hotel teams to ensure a seamless guest journey.
• Share thoughtful recommendations about The Hotel Britomart, Britomart and Auckland.
• Support smooth daily operations, reporting and handovers within the Reservations team.
