Job summary

Star Personnel is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support logistics operations for a client in Auckland. The role focuses on daily planning and coordination of container movements, ensuring a seamless, responsive service to customers in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with transport planners, depots, ports and rail providers to resolve issues, maintain records, and provide timely data entry across systems. This is a 9-month contract starting ASAP, with Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in logistics, container transport or a customer service environment with 3PL/4PL.
• Good understanding of containerised transport and logistics operations.
• Rail/intermodal experience would be advantageous.
• Experience using TMS/WMS systems and Portconnect an advantage

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and planning daily container movements and transport requirements
• Providing exceptional customer service and promptly responding to enquiries and managing customer requests, queries, complaints and service issues
• Liaising closely with transport planners, dispatchers and operational teams
• Coordinating with ports, shipping lines, container depots and rail providers
• Investigating and resolving operational issues, including demurrage and detention costs
• Following up outstanding issues and ensuring timely resolution
• Maintaining accurate customer records, databases and operational information
• Processing orders and ensuring accurate data entry across relevant systems
• Providing support with intermodal administration and general operational tasks
• Identifying and escalating issues requiring immediate attention
