Job summary

Citywide Tech, an Auckland-based MSP, seeks a Level 2 IT Support Technician to deliver remote and onsite technical help across diverse customer environments.

You will troubleshoot Windows, networking, and Microsoft 365, while supporting Active Directory, Exchange Online and security tooling. The role blends remote and on-site work with opportunities to grow in cloud, networking and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience, ideally Level 2
• Good understanding of networking, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPNs
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server and Group Policy
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
• Strong communication, organisational and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 remote and onsite support to business customers
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, hardware, software and application issues
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
• Troubleshoot networking issues involving DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, routers, switches and firewalls
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy environments
• Manage endpoint security, antivirus, patching and monitoring using RMM tools
• Investigate backup failures and assist with data recovery
• Install and configure computers, network equipment and business software
• Assist with Microsoft 365 migrations, new customer setups and IT projects
• Manage support tickets, maintain accurate documentation and communicate with customers throughout the resolution process
