Job summary

Bupa Glenburn Care Home in Auckland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support a busy kitchen team delivering meals and essential services to residents.

You will assist with food preparation, dishwashing and cleaning, while following hygiene and food-safety standards. This permanent part-time role averages 23 hours per week with a rotating roster, including weekends. Training is provided and reliable transport is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1 year experience in a similar role, but full training and development will be provided.
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents.
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

• Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
• Hours: Average 23 hours a week
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Bupa Glenburn Care Home is located in a quiet pocket of New Lynn, Auckland. The home offers rest home, hospital, dementia, and specialist dementia (psychogeriatric) care.

As a Kitchen Assistantyou will:
