Job summary

Bupa Glenburn Care Home in New Lynn, Auckland seeks a Kitchen Assistant to join a busy, experienced kitchen team delivering compassionate support to residents. The role supports food prep, cleaning and safety in a rest home and hospital setting with a 23-hour weekly average schedule.

You’ll work in a person‑centred environment with a rotating 6-week roster. Training is provided and you’ll contribute to a warm, welcoming team that values wellbeing and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1 year experience in a similar role, but full training and development will be provided.
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents.
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Bupa Glenburn Care Home is located in a quiet pocket of New Lynn, Auckland. The home offers rest home, hospital, dementia, and specialist dementia (psychogeriatric) care.
