Job summary

Bupa Group in Auckland's North Shore is seeking a Caregiver at Bupa Hugh Green in Albany. Join a supportive team to assist mobility, maintain care documentation, and encourage residents to engage in social activities.

The role requires a 0-4 Caregiving qualification (medication competency preferred) and experience in aged care or healthcare. You’ll work a fixed rolling roster with a mix of afternoon and morning shifts and benefit from global learning and wellbeing programmes.

Qualifications

• Hold a 0-4 Caregiving qualification (medication competency preferred).
• Experience in aged care or healthcare environment is required.
• Demonstrate genuine passion for supporting the elderly.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type:Permanent Part-Time
• Hours: Average 25.76 hours per week
• Shift Time: Mix of4.00pm-11.00pm and 7am-1pm
• Roster Pattern:4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Bupa Hugh Green located in Albany, on Auckland’s North Shore is a purpose-built facility with 100 beds and offers rest home, hospital, dementia, and care suites. It is known for its modern design and proximity to nature.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

• Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
• Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
• Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Hold a 0-4 Caregiving qualification (current medication competency preferred) and a strong understanding of safe medication practices
• Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
• Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
