Job summary

Bupa Accadia Manor Care Home in Tauranga is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join a busy kitchen team delivering essential support to residents. You will assist with food preparation, dishwashing, and cleaning while upholding hygiene standards in a respectful environment.

The role is casual with hours as required (7am–3pm). Training is provided, and applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. Join a caring team that values wellbeing and community impact.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a similar role preferred; full training provided.

Located in South Tauranga, Bupa Accadia Manor Care Home is a boutique care home. Care options include a Rest Home.

As a Kitchen Assistant you will:

• Assist with food preparation
• Undertake General kitchen duties (dishwashing and cleaning)
• Adhere to Hygiene and food safety standards
• Maintain confidentiality
• Follow Health and Safety procedures

What you’ll need to make it possible

• Preferably 1 year experience in a similar role, but full training and development will be provided
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
