Job summary

Bupa Foxbridge Care Home in Te Rapa, Hamilton, is seeking a Cleaner to join the Housekeeping team. You will maintain high cleaning standards, manage supplies, and ensure residents’ areas are tidy and safe. This part-time role operates on a rotating roster with weekend shifts.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and the ability to work independently within a supportive team, contributing to residents' comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a care or similar environment is preferable.
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents.
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends.
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
• Hours: Average 26 hours/week ; 161 hours/6 weeks roster period
• Shift Time: 8:30am to 1:30pm/ 8:30am to 4:00pm
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-Weekly rotating roster across Monday to Sunday).

The purpose of this job

Bupa Foxbridge Care Home

is a modern, purpose-built care home located in Te Rapa, Hamilton, beside the Te Rapa Racecourse and Minogue Park. The home offer provides rest home, hospital, and dementia care in a contemporary environment.

As a Cleaner you will be part of the Housekeeping team to:

• Maintain a high standard of cleaning as set out on the cleaning schedule.
• Managing cleaning supplies.
• Meeting of daily schedule to ensure that residents’ rooms and public areas are in perfect order, reporting any faults or issues to the Household supervisor.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.
