WasteCo in Auckland is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and manage key customer accounts. You will develop regional strategies, secure new opportunities, and collaborate with operations to ensure exceptional service delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in business development or sales, strong CRM experience, and a track record of meeting revenue targets. Based in Auckland with regular travel to Hamilton.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development or sales preferred
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth
• Strong experience in customer acquisition, account management and retention
• Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving ability
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Full driver's licence essential

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through networking and proactive prospecting.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts.
• Conduct regular customer reviews and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals, pricing solutions and service agreements.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records within CRM systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations.
• Provide regular reporting on sales performance and market insights.
