Job summary

Toll Group is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join our New Zealand sales team in Christchurch. You will identify opportunities, grow relationships and contribute to winning proposals while ensuring customer-focused logistics solutions.

The role can be based in Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington and reports to the Country Sales Manager. You will work across cross-functional teams to deliver value for clients and Toll's Global Forwarding network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• 1–2 years' experience in sales, logistics or customer service.
• Freight forwarding or logistics exposure is a plus.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Intermediate MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to learn CRM platforms and sales methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted industries and territories.
• Grow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and solution-based selling.
• Build strong customer relationships and understand customer supply chain needs.
• Contribute to RFQs, customer proposals and bid responses.
• Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline and CRM data.
• Collaborate with operations and product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
