Job summary

Pathways Health Ltd in New Zealand seeks a General Manager to lead Te Waipounamu and Wellington mental health services, driving values-led leadership, strategy and sector partnerships. The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

AsGeneral Manager, you’ll be based in Wellington, Nelson or Christchurch andreport to the Chief Executive.

You’llprovide inspiring, values‑based leadership across the region, contribute tonational strategy as part of the Pathways Executive team, and build strongrelationships with key sector partners to improve mental health, addiction andwellbeing services.

You will lead a team of regional Service and Relationship managers reporting toyou. They in turn will lead teams of team coaches, who manage a range of adultand youth wellbeing services in the region.

To build and maintain these relationships with your team and key stakeholders,you’ll need to be able to travel regularly within your region, as well asnationally to connect with the Pathways Executive team.

This is a full‑time position working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.However, as a senior manager, you’ll need to be prepared to support your teamand be responsive outside business hours.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for an experienced and respected leader with strong peopleleadership skills and deep knowledge of the New Zealand health and socialsectors. You’ll bring strategic thinking, contract management expertise and theability to build strong, collaborative relationships across teams andstakeholders.

You’ll demonstrate a genuine commitment to te ao Māori,Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tikanga Māori, with a proven track record ofinitiatives that strengthen Māori capability and capacity. You’ll stronglyalign with our values of aroha, connection, authenticity, courage and hope, andbe committed to developing both yourself and others.

You’ll ideally have a clinical background with currentregistration and experience in mental health and addiction services, along witha tertiary qualification in management and/or health, a full driver’s licence,and a commitment to community development. We value diversity and livedexperience.
