Job summary

Pathways, a leading mental health and addiction service in Aotearoa, is seeking a permanent, full-time Team Coach in New Plymouth. You will lead the Housing and Recovery Service to support up to 12 tangata whai ora to live well, connect with whānau and achieve their aspirations.

You will oversee care delivery, coach and develop staff, manage resources, and collaborate with partners to grow services. The role requires HPCA registration and a passion for whānau wellbeing.

The role | MōmČ ū tū rūanga mahi
We’re looking for an inspirational and motivated leader to take up the excitingopportunity as full-time Team Coach (TC) in Taranaki. This TC role involveslooking after our well-established Housing and Recovery Service to support upto 12 Tangata whai ora to live well in their community, connect with whanau andsupport them to achieve their aspirations.

As the TC you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of ourservice. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee direct tāngata whai ora care so that they receive exceptional support in our community setting.
  • Support the efficient and effective use of resources for the team while fostering innovation and improvement of service.
  • Lead and support staff, including regular individual coaching to your team, recruitment, professional development and performance management to support the team to exceed their personal best in everything they do.
  • You’ll be reporting to the Service and Relationship Manager and receive the same coaching and support to achieve great mahi together.
  • Develop and grow our services to meet emerging community needs
  • Grow strong and collaborative inter sector networks and partnerships.

This is a permanent, full-time position. You’ll be working Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. Based in New Plymouth. You will also contribute to an on-call roster.

About You | Mōm:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the wellbeing of our Taiohiand their whānau who are navigating mental health challenges.

If you also bring along the following, we are interested inhearing from you

  • HPCA regulated health practitioner, registered with acurrent APC (Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist)
  • Relevant work experience, including experience inmental health, AOD, disability, health care and/or socialservices
  • Experienced leader who can support, manage and inspirea team.
  • You’ll ideally have demonstrated the ability to workwell with other services such as Health New Zealand/Te whatu ora, PHOs,and the wider youth community and social sector.
  • Relevant experience inleadership and managing others.
  • HPCA Clinical registration
  • Knowledge of, anddemonstrable commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Cultural awareness and a commitment to supporting Māoriand Pasifika whānau.
  • Role model wellbeing andleadership, and support our kaimahi to do the same
