Job summary

Hutchinson's Flooring Xtra Hastings is seeking a Flooring Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Hastings, Hawke's Bay. This full-time role connects customers, sales and installation teams to ensure smooth scheduling and a standout customer experience.

Based at our Heretaunga Street East Hastings store, 8am–3pm Monday to Friday, you will manage installation schedules, liaise with suppliers and handle inquiries, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers, suppliers and team members.
• Proficiency in logistics software, inventory management, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle unexpected logistical challenges calmly and professionally.
• Experience in flooring industry preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
• Liaise with customers to discuss installation requirements and provide updates.
• Coordinate communication between customers and installation teams to ensure all project requirements are met.
• Liaise with product suppliers and track product delivery.
• Responsible for Health and Safety.
• Verify installer invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Manage customer enquiries and concerns.

Hutchinson's Flooring Xtra is seeking a Flooring Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Hastings, Hawke's Bay. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our flooring installation process.

You’ll be the link between our customers, sales and installation teams ensuring clear communication, accurate scheduling and an exceptional customer experience every step of the way.

This is a varied role combining operations coordination, customer service, scheduling and administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying organised, solving problems and working in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our store on Heretaunga Street East Hastings working Monday to Friday 8am - 3pm

Key responsibilities

• Manage installation schedules and monitor job progress to ensure timelycompletion
• Liaise with customers to discuss installation requirements, provide updates, and ensure a high level of customer service

What we're looking for

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers and team members
• Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management software systems, along with competency in Microsoft Office applications
• Problem-solving abilities and the capability to handle unexpected logistical challenges calmly and professionally
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with trades or the flooring industry is preferred however not essential
