Job summary

Queenstown Flooring Xtra is seeking an experienced Storeman and Delivery Person to manage warehousing tasks and deliveries in our busy Queenstown store. You will unload freight, control stock, and assist installers in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a valid forklift license, a full NZ driver's license (manual/automatic), and proven experience in store/delivery work. Training provided for carpet cutting and process improvements.

Flooring Xtra are New Zealand's largest flooring retail brand with over 60 stores across the country. Queenstown Flooring Xtra is locally and owned operated. We are growing and are looking for an experienced Storeman and Delivery Person to join our busy team in our recently renovated Queenstown Store to handle general warehousing duties and deliveries. Key Responsibilities

Manage inwards and outwards goods. Unload freight, managing product within the storerooms and keep our 2 storerooms highly organized, clean and tidy

Stock Control

Cutting Carpet - Training provided

Deliver product to site and assist installers

Key Requirements

We are looking for someone that uses their initiative, is reasonable fit, positive, thorough and a team player. You will also have a high level of integrity, professionalism and respect.

To be considered for the role you'll ideally have the following attributes and experience:

Being an experienced Store/Delivery Person

Ability to communicate well across all levels of the organization

Good computer and accurate paperwork handling skills

Full Driver's license required, be a respectful and courteous driver

Be able to drive manual and automatic vehicles

Current Forklift license with experience

Physically fit as some heavy lifting will be required

Experience in Flooring Industry will be an advantage

Within the warehouse and the showroom, we have a lot going on at once, so you'll need to enjoy a fast-paced environment while balancing and prioritizing tasks effectively and have high level of initiative to improve process efficiency.

This is a full-time and long-term role. Work hours are Monday to Friday (7:30 to 5:00) with possible Saturday morning work required. Candidates will need to hold a current driver's and forklift license.

We are looking for someone who:

Is an experienced Store/Delivery person

Is a highly skilled Forklift driver

Holds a clean, full NZ driver's license and is competent driving larger manual and automatic vehicles

Is physically fit, active and willing to be on the go all day

Can competently use spreadsheets

Is organized and efficient and can work independently and as part of a team

Experience in the Flooring Industry will be an advantage as cutting carpet will be part of the daily tasks, although full training will be provided. Some heavy lifting is a part of this position.
